Over 95% of the world’s trade upon which we all depend istransported by sea,yet seafarers are often forgotten. The goods made available to us in UK are massively dependent on Sailors. I have taken up the reponsibility to raise charity for the Sailors' Society  that works to refresh their mind and sipirit as their work is often far from normal human habitation and constrained by the increasingly demanding routine of shipboard life.

Society operates in 30 countries and 100 portsthroughout the world. The Society presently maintainsfull-time Port Chaplains in:
Belgium, Brazil, Caribbean, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Madagascar, Philippines, Russia,  Ukraine , UK.

Your contribution would support Society activities like:
£285 a month will support the running costs for our Indian Port Chaplain in Visakhapatnam
£200 a month supports the Sailors’ Society food programme in Tema, Ghana
$10 buys an international phone credit for seafarers to contact their loved ones

Regardless of your contribution, please promote this page on social and professioanl network as one of the motives of my running London Marathon 2011 and raising charity is to spread awareness about the Society.
Sailors' Society is solely dependent upon charitable donations to fund its activities. The Society is not linked to a specific church so it does not receive the regular incomes associated with other organisations.
